Significance

Not all of us takes time to care for our environment every once in a while. We are too busy with our little life that we forget to take care of what gives life to us, the environment.  The significance of this activity is to be able to promote awareness within the community about environmental problems that need to be address. Our goal is to promote learning through a project that we’ve come up through brainstorming.  A project based learning method is a comprehensive approach to instruction. Your students participate in projects and practice an interdisciplinary array of skills from math, language arts, fine arts, geography, science, and technology. Project-based learning, or PBL, is the use of in-depth and rigorous classroom projects to facilitate learning and assess student competence.

"The collaborative nature of the investigation enhances all of these valuable experiences ... as well as promotes a greater appreciation for social responsibility (Scott, 1994)."

Population on earth had grown large over the centuries and yet, only small part of the crowd is giving back and taking care of what's left in our environmental resources. If each one of us will help contribute to the betterment of our surroundings, then that would be the time that we can lessen the environmental problems that we have right now, or fortunately, we will be able to breathe with clean air again! Getting involved in your community makes it healthier and livelier, and numerous organizations around the world support community service activities.
