Students Reflections

Question: What can you say about the activity and what did you learn from it?

" I am a nature lover. I volunteer for a clean world. When we did our clean-up drive, I felt a pinch in my heart for I was glad that I helped clean in the community for a while. Even though it wasn’t a whole day activity, I was still glad that we were able to contribute to the clean and green project of Barangay Fatima. Not all people would care for a piece of trash thrown at the surroundings but I just want to make them realized that just picking up a small piece of trash would make a difference. I realized that some of us really lack discipline. We are too lazy to throw and segregate our own garbages. I am happy to help and to inspire the youth to move and step forward for a cleaner future!"

"The clean-up drive was so much fun. I enjoyed being with my group mates and especially cleaning with them. It could have been harder if not because of our teamwork. The sweat and the hot weather was nothing because of the smiles that I saw in my group mates while doing the project. There were more plastics than leaves in the area where we cleaned and that’s just not good to look at. I hope people will realized the results of their wrong doings. Mother nature gives us life but we keep on hurting her by throwing a piece of candy wrapper in our surroundings. We humans should start making a difference now and conserving what’s left in our environment."
                                                                      -Julie Marie Buen

"I was glad to make a change because of the clean-up drive. I believed that big things came from the small ones. Even though it wasn’t a long time of cleaning, I still think that it was a nice experience for a college student like me majoring in Biology. I am very concern of the environment that’s why I really enjoyed the clean-up drive. The whole effort for the project was really worth it--from the making of letter to the going on in the office of the Barangay captain until the said date. I would love to do it again even if it requires a lot of patience because of the hot weather. Go for green!!"
                                                                    -Sahara Dawn Martinez

"I came late in the area where we did our clean-up drive so I was hurrying to clean up when I saw my group mates already cleaning. I thought they will scold me and will not make me part of the group anymore but I was glad that they still made me help and do the project with them. I learned team work was really essential for the success of the whole thing."
                                                                  -Marc Noel Matela

"The clean-up drive was fun! I got sweaty and dirty but I was glad to contribute for the cleanliness of the area. It was very hot and it did required  a lot of patience for me to be able to enjoy but being with my group mates is memorable. I enjoyed talking to the officer in charged about the clean and green project of the Barangay. I would love to join!"

  1. Hello. I see you've got a nice advocacy here. If you'll continue this until you guys graduate, it'll be a great help. I just want you to go over the fonts that you used which are quite not readable :))
